Sr. Game Designer at Slide in San Francisco, CA

Our users can create their own masterpieces with virtual jelly beans, care for their online Pets, or send virtual gifts to friends.

Slide was founded in 2005 by PayPal co-founder Max Levchin and is backed by Mayfield Fund, Blue Run Ventures, Khosla Ventures and Founders Fund.

 

We're looking for a game designer who can create user engagement for applications like:

  •  Fun Space: http://apps.facebook.com/crazyfunpix/
  • SuperPoke! Pets: http://apps.facebook.com/slidepets/

 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and work closely with team on gameplay mechanics
  • Make Slide's applications engaging
  • Lead design meetings

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of game design experience.
  • Excellent communications.
  • Passion for excellence of design.
  • Experience executing ideas.
  • Level or systems design experience.
  • Love playing online games.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Ability to do critical analysis and find creative solutions.
  • Current knowledge of trends, philosophies, tools and techniques.
  • Bachelor's Degree.

Bonus:

  • Experience with Social-based games.
  • Experience with building for Social networks like Facebook, Myspace, Bebo, etc...
  • Experience with designing for Xbox Live games.
