Slide was founded in 2005 by PayPal co-founder Max Levchin and is backed by Mayfield Fund, Blue Run Ventures, Khosla Ventures and Founders Fund.
Responsibilities:
- Managing the Community Team
- Soliciting and interpreting user feedback into actionable recommendations for how to improve Slide website, applications and widgets
- Organizing and maintaining public points of contact (fan club, forums, etc) with users
- Researching and mapping social graph dynamics
- Identifying and reporting technical bugs on behalf of the community
- Quantitative analysis of online marketing efforts, providing suggestions for optimization
- Making sure Slide stays current with audience segments around the world
- Strengthening relationships that users have with Slide and building affinity through contests, promotions and loyalty program
- Engaging users on personal, 1x1 level
- Managing and encouraging Slide enthusiasts to spread the word about new releases
- Develop and maintain Community Moderation program
Requirements:
- 2+ years Community Management experience (Customer Support does NOT count. You need to have actually managed an online Community in the past.)
- Experience managing at least one other person
- Familiar with forums and Community crisis management
- Smart, creative problem solver-- need to be able to act quickly and make the right decisions, and also ask for guidance when appropriate
- Highly in touch with pop culture and sensitive to future trends
- Demonstrated ability to learn fast and complete multiple competing priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (feel free to submit links to work)
- Someone who can work both independently and as a strong contributor to a team
- Creativity to devise strategies for enhancing network effects among Slide users
- Deep understanding of social network structures (please submit profile URLs)
- Must be proficient in MS Office suite programs
- BA/BS degree
