Role Overview:
We seek a San Francisco based interactive sales professional to join a highly dynamic, passionate, and results oriented Sales organization. The Director, Sales will be responsible for existing and new revenue growth in the Western US region. This will include acquiring, growing and retaining key relationships with advertising agencies and marketers within your region. Established relationships with key advertising agencies, CPG, Telecom, Entertainment, Beverage, and social media experience are a huge plus!
Responsibilities:
- Prospect and penetrate advertising agencies and brands to generate a book of business within your territory
- Building and maintaining advertising agency and client relationships
- Customize sales presentations using industry trends, case studies, and other market data
- Writing and presenting proposals, presentations, and responding to RFPs
- Evangelize social media and the use of applications to the advertising community
- Negotiating advertising contracts
- Developing a growing understanding of our technology, and keeping up with Industry developments
- Accurately reporting, forecasting, and exceeding revenue goals
- Serve as industry expert in social media
Requirements:
- 5-7 years+ of online advertising sales experience
- Track record of successfully meeting and exceeding quotas
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Demonstrated success in a goal oriented, highly accountable sales environment
- Superior communication skills, including face-to-face presentations, phone and email
- Strong relationships with advertising agencies and national advertising clients within the region
- An entrepreneurial approach to business
- Understand user behavior and how technology works with the ability to explain each in ordinary terms
- The ability to structure, negotiate, and close advertising opportunities working within best practices guidelines
- Desire to work in a start-up environment where there is constant change and limited resources
- Experience in & knowledge of social media as well as selling youth products is highly desired
- Diligent work ethic, dependable, and ethical
- Significant travel within the region
- Fortitude to attack every challenge as though there are no other options but to succeed
Educational Requirements:
- BA/BS in a business related field. MBA a plus
