Responsibilities:

* Develop solid backend infrastructure to support our next-generation b2b and consumer offerings
* Work closely with key contributors to define the specific functionality required
* Be relentless in your pursuit of quality and practice of test-driven development
* Constantly factor and re-factor your code for reusability, repeatability, maintainability, and scaling
* Participate fully in our agile processes throughout the product development cycle

Requirements:

* Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science
* Solid theoretical background in distributed systems and databases
* Solid experience coding in Python and Java
* Experience architecting databases of significant complexity and scale
* Experience with MySQL in high-volume production environments
* You know your way around a Linux box, networks, and the key open-source projects
* Demonstrated success working in a highly collaborative, friendly, open environment
* Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
