Software Engineer - Analytics

Requirements

* 4-7 years of experience, including 2+ years in web analytics or data warehousing
* Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science
* Background in database scaling and performance
* Experience with MySQL
* Background in open source analytics offerings and cloud computing
* Track record of practical problem solving using Perl or Python (or similar language)
* You know your way around Linux administration and networking
* Good written and verbal communication
* Formal/academic coursework in data mining and warehousing a plus

Responsibilities

* Develop sophisticated analytics to improve user experience and generate new insights
* Enhance and extend our offline processing and data warehousing capabilities
* Build our next generation cloud computing infrastructure for flexibility and availability
* Collaborate closely with stakeholders including developers, operations team, analysts and product managers
* Document interfaces and train engineering team members
* Constantly factor and re-factor your code for reusability, repeatability, scale and maintainability
