IT Support Specialist (Contractor)

Simply Hired is looking for a great IT Support Specialist to help make our corporate IT infrastructure secure, accessible, hassle-free, and reliable. This opening is a full-time, contract position with the potential for permanent hire.

Requirements

* 2-3 years experience providing face-to-face desktop support to users in a Windows network
* Experience with Active Directory and Exchange operation and tools
* Proficient at system management tools, corporate antivirus solutions, system imaging (Ghost),  backup and recovery solutions
* Significant experience installing and supporting desktop hosts & applications
* Functional knowledge of TCP/IP networking, monitoring, and troubleshooting
* Experience with VOIP telephony
* Good interpersonal skills, including strong verbal communication skills
* Attention to detail and good written communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to follow through and complete projects

Responsibilities

* Actively participate in the engineering process we have established
* Handle end-user requests, troubleshoot issues with hardware, software, applications and network
* Configure servers, desktops, phones, etc.
* Continually document and expose configuration, processes and policies
* Prioritize tasks and work independently, while closely collaborating with CTO on broader IT projects
* Be available on-call for urgent issues that occasionally
