Responsibilities

You would enjoy spending your time . . .

  • 30% HR Administration - Running a tight HR ship

-Ensuring compliance with government requirements

-Administering benefits/perks and compensation changes

-On-boarding and off-boarding employees

  • 30% Recruiting - Fostering a 24x7 recruiting culture

-Support managers in implementing universal hiring best practices

-Administering our referral program, generating offer letters and building a talent pool

-Help us hire dozens of great people in 2010 across multiple departments with specific cost per hire goals

  • 20% Talent Development – Building a world class ecosystem for people to do the best work of their lives

-Driving our annual process to higher levels of efficiency and effectiveness

-Formalizing a training program for individual contributors, managers and execs

-Helping our managers to stay on track with their employee’s development goals

-Create our Simply Hired best practices to maximize employee productivity and satisfaction

  • 20% Cultivating Culture - Creating a role model work culture

-Foster a meritocratic, supportive and appreciative community

-Work closely with our Admin team to make sure our office runs like a well-oiled machine

-Throw remarkable company and community-service events

Qualifications

You’ve been there done that . . .

  • Worked in HR for 9-12 years
  • Maintained knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and insures an organization's compliance -- focusing on the US (CA, MA, NY)
  • Communicated changes in organization’s human resources policies and procedures and insure proper compliance is followed
  • Consulted with legal counsel or other external experts as appropriate on significant HR issues
  • Worked directly with managers to assist them with employee relations matters
  • Recommended, evaluated, and participated in staff development
  • Overseen the recruiting and hiring process, including working with the management team and hiring directors to define strategic staffing plans
  • Manage an annual performance review process
  • Recommended changes to the compensation program, including salary benchmarking, development of a bonus pool, and rewriting job descriptions and reclassifying positions as needed
  • Developed and implemented employee satisfaction and retention programs
  • Conducted exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation
  • Served as a plan administrator for certain benefit programs. Audited, researched, recommended, and implemented changes and additions to employee benefits’ plans, to ensure cost-effectiveness and market competitiveness
  • Maintained current knowledge and understanding of regulations, laws, industry trends, practices, and developments regarding Human Resources that may affect a company and advise management and employees accordingly
  • Shown a proven ability to mentor and coach staff and foster a collaborative, team-oriented work environment

  • Maintained, recommend changes to, updated, and published an employee handbook on an annual basis
  • Worked in the recruiting industry
  • Prepared a Human Resources salary and benefits budget, managed and owned expenditures, and reported on variances to budget
