Shmoop (www.shmoop.com) is a digital curriculum company that makes learning, teaching, and test prep materials that are - get this - smart and fun. We are on the hunt for a Video Editor who can help us create awesome videos like these.

Responsibilities: 
Support the production of Shmoop's brand new video suite. Be passionate about the movie-making process:  everything from cutting, editing and syncing to shooting glorious shots of our founders and editors.  Be prepared to use Adobe Everything, iMovie, GarageBand and your noggin.  

Minimum Requirements: 

-Organized, can prioritize and handle juggling a few projects at once
-Collaborative worker, can advise and help other video editors and interns
-Deep love for driving results and an utter disdain for boring marketing
-Previous movie making experience (have a short film we could watch?)
-Sharp eye for the right transitions and visual aids
-Ninja-like prowess in Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, iMovie and GarageBand
-Be able to commit 32 – 40 hours/week

Bonus Points for: 
-Artistic ability and a good eye for design
-Active blogger, social network butterfly, follower of Interweb memes, and lover of pop culture 
-Can write in a Shmoopy voice - edgy, witty, current, youthful 
-Experience marketing to teens or teachers 
-Experience doing affiliate marketing or promotional business development with other websites 
-Experience working closely with designers or creative agencies
