What you’ll do

• Help build, maintain, and scale SendGrid's infrastructure and backend applications
• Develop benchmarks to test code scalability and speed
• Develop distributed applications that scale dynamically in the cloud
• Optimize existing applications
• Contribute ideas to improve our service
• Support customers when having technical issues

• Solid linux system administration
• Expert knowledge of Perl
• Strong familiarity with the SMTP protocol
• Socket programming experience
• Computer Science / Engineering degree

• Familiarity with multiple languages, such as Python, Ruby, Java, C++
• Familiarity with Chef
