POSITION/TITLE: Operations Research Analyst

REDDWERKS SUMMARY:
Reddwerks develops and sells WMS, WCS, and CCS software for some of the largest users in the world, including four of the top ten retailers in the US, the largest distributor to convenience stores, and one of the largest parcel and logistics companies. Deploying Reddwerks v4.0 starts with our systematic, mathematical, and science-based analysis of customers’ needs, we call “Distribution Science.” Headquartered in Austin, TX, our software has been deployed in more than 60 high-volume distribution centers throughout North America.
REQUIREMENTS:
- MS degree in Operations Research (preferred) or Industrial Engineering, BS degree in Industrial Engineering, Math or Computer Science

Background/skills at:
- Data parsing and manipulation
- Simulation modeling
- Mathematical modeling of processes and systems
- Mathematical optimization (algorithm development) of processes and systems
- Process analysis using Monte Carlo simulation
- Inferential statistical analysis skills
- Linear and non-linear regression modeling experience
- ROI analysis skills
- Risk analysis skills
- Object-oriented programming skills - Java (preferred), C++ or Python
- Writing skills to create business documents (proposals and system specifications) using both MS Word and PowerPoint
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Process design for supply chain applications in warehouse environments
- Understand and document existing operations/requirements
- Perform simulations in Java
- Develop enhanced/optimized solutions for existing processes
- Develop optimization algorithms for proposed solutions
- Write proposals
- Justify financial investment in proposed solution
- Provide technical support to sales
- Travel to customer sites nationwide (possibly international) depending on phase of project
