About the Job:
The Hardware Systems Lab is studying residential energy consumption. We seek to draw useful information from smart meter data. We are seeking a creative and motivated student with understanding of basic statistics and physical machines to help further our research.
- Working with databases
- Research into basic appliances in the home
- Basic statistical analysis
- Simple physics-based analysis
- Advanced undergraduate or masters student in statistics, engineering, or the physical sciences
- Previous experience with Matlab or a similar tool
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
