Field Service Technician - Press Brakes & Shears


Do you have at least two years of experience repairing large industrial machinery? (such as press brakes, shears & Machine tools)


Our client, the leading manufacturer of Press Brakes, Shears and Laser Cutting Machines, has an opening for a Field Service Representative. If you have worked with press brakes, shears or Machine tools

Experience:
The ideal candidate will have experience working on press brakes, shears or other machine tool, CNC/PC controlled equipment.  Must have the ability to read electrical & hydraulic schematics and mechanical drawings.  They must possess the ability to communicate and document findings electronically.


Prefer 2 years or more experience in the repair of large industrial machinery.  Will consider new Technical School graduates or recently discharged military personnel with strong technical abilities and an aptitude for customer service.


Abilities:
The Candidate must posses a good working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, CNC and PC control repair.  Experience with test equipment such as DVMs and pressure gages required.  Must have excellent communication and PC skills.  Experience with hydraulic and servo drive systems desired.

Education:
An Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or four years military experience in an electro-mechanical field is preferred.

Other Requirements:
  • Must have a clean driving record, a valid drivers license and no felony convictions.
  • Must be able to lift 70 pounds without aid.
  • Must be able to obtain a US passport.
  • The Candidate will be required to provide installation, warranty and repair work on customer equipment.
  • Possess the ability to display professional confidence on the job-site.
  • Travel Requirements: Overnight Travel up to 100% throughout the United States and Canada will be required.   Must be capable of traveling internationally.  No relocation assistance is offered for this position.
