Lead Cook at Gourmet Gorilla Inc., in Chicago, IL
Seeking a dedicated cook experienced in big batch cooking to join a high volume kitchen specializing in school lunches cooked from scratch. Will be using a 60-gallon steam kettle and 30-gallon tilt skillet among other large-scale equipment. However, finesse and attention to detail on every level is absolutely required. Must have great knife skills, speed, accuracy and knowledge of food safety and sanitation requirements; sanitation certificate a plus. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, mainly daytime hours, though additional hours and time periods may be required. Bi-lingual a plus. Must be able to pass a background check.
