Responsibilities

  • Apply front-end technology to enhance the Edmodo classroom experience for both students and teachers. Take ownership of what our users see and make recommendations on how we should enhance and improve the product.
  • Serve as the go-to person for our entire front-end. Build leading edge social features.
  • We will look to you to solve hard problems and make our front-end efficient, elegant and awesome.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience building dynamic, consumer sites in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.  You can hand code pages using table-less layouts that comply with all standards.  
  • You know your software engineering fundamentals. You are a team player.  You take pride in checking in code that is bug free.
  • Experience working in short, agile, iterative development cycles.

Exceptional Candidates

  • Experience writing or reading code that interacts with our back end. It would be great if you have some experience working with PHP, but we are also interested in candidates that know Python, Perl, Java and Ruby.
  • You have an eye for visual and/or interaction design and have done some design work in the past.
