i Series AS/400 Systems Administrator - Tacoma, WA (Office Staff)

Responsibilities:

Analyze data and produce simple reports regarding operation and effectiveness of processes

Research and implement technical solutions for cross-enterprise projects

Keep System i systems operating within performance standards

Provide superior system support for System i hardware and software

Provide customer satisfaction regarding data processing and system support

Help Desk supervisor – support help desk team and issues that arise

Qualifications:

BA degree in Computer Science or Information Technologies; or equivalent combination of education and experience

3+ years experience in a system administration function including i5OS/OS400 release upgrades, PTFs, System i FSP updates and HMC management

3+ years of experience using operating system, communications, and security within a System i/AS400

3+ years of experience with system management, security, performance tuning, and capacity planning

Knowledge of various IBM System i/AS400 products, BRMS, and Performance Tools

Knowledge of ODBC, SQL, ILE RPG and CLLE

Knowledge of System i/AS400 hardware technology

Knowledge of Network and Communications technology

On-Call availability

Ability to support multiple software vendor packages installed at corporate
