Rich Media Developer at Blip in New York, NY

Blip.tv is looking for a Rich Media Developer to join its growing team. The right candidate will play a key role in developing and building rich media Video and Display advertising products. The applicant must have a very strong knowledge of ActionScript 3 and a good overall sense of design with experience working in Photoshop. This is a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge advertising in a very exciting, fast paced environment. Experience with Object Oriented Programming is a plus. Responsibilities:

  • Develop online advertisements for worldwide client base 
  • Use Flash, ActionScript, JavaScript, PHP, and MySQL in a variety of custom ad executions 
  • Work closely with the Creative Services Director and Sales team to ensure creative vision can be realized from a technical standpoint 
  • Invent new and exciting ways to incorporate different levels of social media into advertising units 
  • Work quickly and efficiently in a fast paced atmosphere 
  • Design and develop innovative solutions to client requests 
  • HTML design for internal site projects / advertising microsites

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree 
  • Minimum of three (3) years experience in online design is required 
  • Strong knowledge in the following software programs: Adobe Flash and Adobe Flash Buider (Flex) 
  • Experience with Flash animation
  • Knowledge of PHP, MySQL databases, and JavaScript 
  • Knowledge of working with API's such as Facebook, Twitter, Google Maps etc... is a strong plus 
  • Knowledge and passion for online advertising 
  • Ability to adapt quickly to new technologies and situations 
  • Creative thinker 
  • Strong organizational skills 
  • Be able to take direction
