Director of Sales

The Role:

We are experiencing massive growth and this position will be spearheading our expansion. The Director of Sales
will work with the current sales team to maximize pipeline, identify process improvements, and drive company
revenue. Together with the CEO they will be driving the expansion and growth of the sales team. They will develop,
direct, and analyze programs and retention strategies for maximum customer satisfaction and retention. They will
work closely with the C team to develop and execute scaling strategies and drive company progress.

What You’ll be Doing:

  • Develops key performance metrics and dashboards that help the sales organization focus on performance
  • drivers
  • Defines scalable growth areas and pairs with the hiring manager to execute these goals
  • Designs, develops and implements a motivating incentive compensation plan in support of the company’s
  • compensation philosophy of paying for performance and rewarding talent
  • Works with available data to optimize customer/account targeting
  • Maximizes effectiveness of the sales force
  • Measures sales force productivity and ensures effective implementation of established strategies and
  • tactics
  • Ensures effective analysis of sales force trends and performance in an effort to identify greater efficiencies
  • Delivers Sales Operations related presentations to the Sales Organization and the Executive team
  • Develops an environment that ensures all sales teams are aligned to Elastic’s goals, objectives, and
  • values
  • Analyze sales data and generate forecasts and metric reports for the C Team
  • Assist in all facets of sales planning, inclusive of regular updates to quotas, headcount, and sales plan
  • Working closely with the engineering team to improve and iterate Elastic software

Musts:

  • 6+ years experience in a senior sales role
  • Start up and SaaS experience strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to define, refine and implement sales processes, procedures and policies
  • Ability to conduct sophisticated and creative analysis of complex data and translate the results into
  • actionable deliverables, messages, and presentations
  • Experience managing personnel and contributing toward the development of department strategy
  • Strong problem solving and collaboration skills
  • Product oriented and strong technical skills
  • Experience in developing and making formal presentations to executive management
