BuzzFeed's hiring an aggressive, smart, competitive reporter obsessed with getting scoops and writing sports stories that people will want to share, like, recommend and talk about. We're a new kind of media company for the social world. Our technology powers the social distribution of content, detects what is trending on the web, and connects people in realtime with the hottest content of the moment. Our site is a rapidly growing hub for media that reaches over 20 million monthly unique visitors and our network tracks an additional 300M uniques.

Responsibilities
- Write, edit, and produce posts for BuzzFeed's Sports vertical
- Make stuff that people like to share
- Generate ideas for new features, contest, collaborative posts and videos
- Contribute to the conversation about culture
Requirements
- High emotional intelligence
- At least two years of reporting experience. Sports experience preferred
- Thorough, obsessive-level sports knowledge of everyone from LeBron James to Jack Hannahan
- A competitive, obsessive drive
- A genuine love of sports in all its forms
- Proven ability to get viral traffic
- Established social media presence
