Computer Science/Engineering Intern at Sporcle, Inc. in Seattle, WA

Sporcle is looking for computer science and/or engineering interns.

We are a small and growing team of designers, engineers, producers and students that bring mentally stimulating diversions to a wide audience at home, work and school - sometimes in class! Make an impact contributing to products that millions of people around the world see and use everyday.

We have a number of infrastructure and mobile development projects waiting to engage your brain, giving you real-world experience in a professional web and mobile application environment.

Working alongside our engineering staff, you’ll be part of projects such as:

• Configuration of new servers for our development and production environments.
• Creation and expansion of tools to monitor web and database performance.
• Building and testing components for our iOS applications.

Qualifications:

-Computer Science, Computer Engineering major or other engineering areas of study with appropriate experience

-Comfortable and productive in a Linux (Ubuntu) command-line environment

-Experience with one or more of the following languages: Objective-C, PHP, Python, Ruby, Perl

-Strong problem solving skill

-Self-motivated with the ability to work both collaboratively and independently

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills

-Able to commute to Sporcle's office in Seattle, Washington (We're in Fremont across from the Burke Gilman trail)
