Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for understanding who our users are, extending credit to them and preventing loss.

You will look for new ways to underwrite users, build tools to help yourself and the rest of the risk team make quick decisions involving millions of dollars

You will work closely with the support and product teams to make sure that each user has a seamless payment experience.

You are interested in visualizing complex patterns of activity.
Requirements:
- Programming experience and a deep understanding of how decisions made with our data will affect a user's experience
- Highly analytical and have good intuition about people.
- A love of hunting for patterns in data, and a desire or experience translating these patterns into automated, actionable insights are absolutely necessary.
- You are comfortable making difficult decisions that will affect a user's experience, sometimes with limited data.
- Tell us how you use Venmo or why you think others should
- Provide us with links to relevant blogs/websites, GitHub and Linkedin profiles, etc.

- Academic coursework or work experience in statistics, artificial intelligence, mathematics, finance, economics, computer science, or financial services or transaction based businesses.
