Social Work | New Hampton, NY | Contract | From $42.00 to $48.00 per hour

Job Description

InGenesis is currently seeking Social Workers to work with our client in New Hampton, NY. In this role, you will be working at the Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center.

Job Duties

· Completion of, and maintaining, medical record documentation within required designated time-frames

· Participate in assigned meetings: Treatment plan meetings (including 730/330 rounds), Daily morning rounds, Therapeutic Community Meetings, Case Reviews, Incident debriefings in the absence of the Program Coordinator/Treatment team leader

· Facilitate clinical groups during the day, as well as Provide individual therapy to assigned patients

· Secure and maintain the Record of Arrest and Prosecution information

· Secure collateral information from various sources

· Maintain ongoing contact with patient's family and significant others, as assist families in finding support services and engage families in the treatment process

· Secure approval for children visitation, special visitation requests and notify necessary staff. Coordinate electronic visitation and family participation in treatment team meetings

· Participates in the facility's annual Family Day, quarterly Family Educational meetings, Annual CORE curriculum training and in-service programming

· Assist patients with case management tasks, including Coordinate the Advance Directives process (e.g., Health Care Proxy)

· Senior Social Work staff train and supervise entry level Social Work staff and student interns

· Participate on various hospital committees

Preferred Qualifications

· Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW degree)

*Pay rate range commensurate on experience.
