InGenesis is currently seeking a temporary Accountant to work with our client in Albany, NY. In this role, you will be working in the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation.

Job Duties

· Analyze loan guaranty records for accuracy and completeness, and where appropriate for compliance with governing federal regulations and HESC policies and procedures.

· Adjust financial transactions to HESC’s Debt Management and Collection System and the Active Loans System. Adjustments pertain to existing regulations regarding student loan relief under the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act (CARES ACT) and account maintenance and updating.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

· Knowledge of automated accounting systems, a strong understanding of Excel and excellent attention to detail for reviewing and entering data on required systems and spreadsheets

· Must be proficient in Microsoft Word/Excel

· Excellent writing and analytical skills, strong communication and organizational skills

*Pay rate range commensurate on experience.
