A leading technology company is looking for a Manufacturing Operations Coordinator - Materials Handling. Manufacturing Operations Coordinator - Materials Handling Pay and Benefits:

  • Hourly pay: $19/hr
  • Worksite: Electronics Testing and Measurement Company (Santa Rosa, CA 95403 - Onsite)
  • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL
  • 40 hours/week, 24 Month Assignment

Manufacturing Operations Coordinator - Materials Handling Responsibilities:

  • First point of contact for questions and escalations from a team of material handlers.
  • Provide one-on-one training to new employees, in compliance with local, state, and federal requirements and within the written job description.
  • Identify process efficiencies and/or productivity enhancements quarterly, or as determined by your direct supervisor.
  • Become a subject matter expert, on material handler responsibilities and assist the team as appropriate.
  • Ability to communicate professionally to all levels within the company.
  • Identify any safety or compliance opportunities, and provide solution-oriented feedback through to the completion.
  • Prepare and ship items using the appropriate shipping method, select the appropriate shipping container, pack items for safe delivery.
  • Prepare bills of lading; check items to be shipped against work orders to ascertain that quantities, destination, and routing are correct.
  • Receive and unload incoming materials and use available tools to verify the accuracy of shipments.
  • Sort, count, package, label, insure, unpack, and/or log inventory that is shipped or received.
  • Inspect shipments for damages or defects; record discrepancies or damages and notify supervisor and/or purchasing personnel.
  • Trace lost shipments and/or file claims for lost or damaged items.
  • Routinely perform administrative functions such as maintaining department databases, preparing routine reports, filing shipping and receiving records.
  • May operate material handling equipment that could include forklift, electric pallet jacks, shrink-wrap machines, carousels, walkie-stackers, and order pickers as needed.
  • Provide root cause and corrective actions for monthly business fundamentals, that fall out of control, or as requested by the direct Supervisor.
  • Provide first-level auditing of job transactions and output for compliance with written processes and required guidelines.
  • Partner with direct supervisor on coordination of month-end, quarter-end, or yearend output requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, working environment and optimize space utilization.
  • Perform miscellaneous logistics-related administrative duties as assigned.

Manufacturing Operations Coordinator - Materials Handling Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of previous material handling experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience with MS Suite of applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Experience with the operation of material handling equipment preferred.
  • Experience with Oracle WMS, TA-15, and logistic carrier databases preferred.
  • Demonstrated track record of success driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Familiarity with modern warehousing practices and methods.
  • Demonstrates effective listening and communication (verbal and written) skills.
  • Demonstrated success in a diverse, team-oriented work environment.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 WPM.
  • Flexibility to manage competing priorities, professionally and thoroughly.
  • Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, written work instructions, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and/or health standards.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 25 pounds, without assistance.

  • Monday - Friday 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM
